Kentucky Community-Based Suicide Prevention Roundtable: Pathways Forward—Bridging Awareness to Suicide Research and Action

The Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental, and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) and UK Building Bridges invite you to the fourth Kentucky Community-Based Suicide Prevention Roundtable: Pathways Forward—Bridging Awareness to Suicide Research and Action. This free, virtual event brings together community members, practitioners, and university partners to share practical efforts in suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention—in an “informally formal,” podcast-style conversation with a splash of fireside chat. Relationship building and information sharing only. No CEUs provided.

When: August 20th, 2026, 11:30 a.m. EST- 1:00 p.m. EST (Zoom)

Our goal is to break down communication barriers and spark collaboration across universities, disciplines, and communities—so we can move from awareness to coordinated action.

Who should attend

Anyone in Kentucky who cares about building a comprehensive approach to suicide prevention —community members, providers, educators, faith and civic leaders, students, researchers, local officials, and partners across sectors.

Accessibility

Auto-captions will be enabled. If you require additional accommodations, please respond to this email so we can assist with your participation.

We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful conversation and help build bridges across Kentucky.
