Inviting all Louisville youth to a week of FREE events focused on the movement to stop violence!

This week is all about youth and connection, but there’s something for everyone to learn, share, and enjoy!

Monday, May 11th

5-7pm

"Speak & Grow" Youth Engagement

w/ a Memorial Tree Planting 

Youth voices take center stage during a powerful experience combining spoken expression and a memorial tree planting rooted in reflection and growth. Share stories of survivorship, and hear personal testimonies from guest speakers Uno Strong & Dawn Hale.

Molding Positive Change Through Art 

Use creativity to express yourself, tell your story, and explore how art can spark change and make a real impact in your community, promoting positive social change amongst Louisville youth.

Intergenerational Youth Engagement 

w/ Blueprint 502

Participate in meaningful conversations and activities that bridge generations and empower youth through positive engagement - exploring ways youth can shape the future through leadership, advocacy, and action.

"Bring Your Game" Sports Activities and Mentorship

Engage in sports-based activities that promote healthy teamwork, leadership, and mentorship between youth and community role models.

Thursday, May 14th

Mental Health Open Mic

Share, listen, and connect in a supportive open-mic space centered on mental health awareness, expression, and healing amongst Louisville youth. The Roots 101 Museum will be available to all attendees for self-guided tours during the event.

"Love Your Block" Community Mural Reveal

Celebrate neighborhood pride with the unveiling of a community-created mural that reflects local voices, history, and unity. Enjoy music, community vibes, and the chance to see youth artwork brought to life on a larger‑than‑life canvas!

"Grow Your Own" Urban Agriculture Activity

Get your hands dirty and learn how to grow your own food while exploring how urban gardening can help build confidence, provide healthy living skills, and strengthen connection throughout Louisville's youth community.
