I feel guilty for taking up one of my counselors slots. Maybe someone needs it more then I do...

Question asked: I have been in counseling for a while, and like it. But I don’t feel like I have THAT many issues and kind of feel guilty for taking up one of my counselors’ slots. I mean maybe there is someone else that needs this more than I do.


Answered by: Ms. Normanda Lawless is a LPCC, NCC and works for a group private practice called The Cognitive Refinery in Bowling Green, KY. She works with individuals who are 12 and up and are having a difficult time navigating trauma, depression, and anxiety and also does couples work.
