Meaningfully Supporting Men and Boys: An Introduction to a Gender Transformative Approach
Many Services and service providers struggle with getting boys and men “into the room.” To do so, many efforts focus on reinforcing hegemonic masculine ideals that are actually harmful to men and boys, as well as women and girls and non- gender conforming people.

About the Event
This workshop provides an overview of the typical barriers that exist for providing services to men and boys, and some concrete examples of methods and strategies to effectively engage men and boys in the services that they deserve. Using Meaningful Access practice, a gender transformative model, and integrating intersectional theory and practice, participants will be encouraged to consider how they can more meaningfully and effectively serve men and boys in ways that also promote gender and racial justice.
