About the Event
This Mental Health Month Event is on Suicide Prevention. The evening will start with a theatrical reading production of "May I Have Your Attention, Please?" a play by Kentucky playwright Catherine Rogan Goguan, produced and performed by members of The Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center. Following this 31 minute film, a panel of experts will talk about the film and suicide prevention messaging that works and doesn't work. Dr. Julie Cerel of UK College of Social Work, Megan Cole of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Dr. Fareesh Kanga of University of Kentucky/HealthFirst Bluegrass/NAMI Lexington are our pro panel. Marcie Timmerman of MHA Kentucky will moderate the discussion.
