Help us keep mental health, in the conversation.

We are a 501 (C)(3) charity and at Mental Health Lou & You we want to keep the conversation about mental health going in Louisville.

Our Mission:

We promote mental wellness by increasing access to mental health services and decreasing stigma through education and programs while centering our work in historically underserved and disconnected communities throughout Louisville.

Current Programs to Support

When you donate to Mental Health Lou & You, your contribution helps us continue to share mental health resources throughout Louisville, where we have a special focus on underserved areas. Whether you're a small donor or larger corporation, your funds truly make a big impact!

Mind, Body Wellness workshops at LFPL

With your support we can bring licensed, mental health professionals to present a month long series of workshops at 6 branch locations, including branches located in West and South West Louisville. These workshops are free and open to the public with the aim to improve emotional self awareness and self care tools.

Current needs: Workshop sponsorships to cover speaker fees.

2

Neighborhood Mental Wellness Fairs

Partnering with local businesses, we bring wellness providers out into the community to connect them to resources so local they're in the neighborhood! These events are hands on and interactive, with mini workshops, often including arts, yoga, bodywork and music.

Current needs: Sponsors and Community Partners looking to host a mini mental health fair at their business!

3

School outreach programs

Local schools can submit a request to have our Speakers Collective professionals provide a workshop/professional development or training just for them! Our speakers create programs specific to each school's needs, whether it's for students, staff or families!

Current needs include: Covering workshop fees for speakers and cost of materials for the students attending mental health fairs.

Free Counseling Services for Low Income Women

We're currently operating a small pilot program at UP for Women and Children offering free counseling and support services for their guests. Our groups are run by UofL graduate students in the Couples and Family Therapy program and provide the women with resources, tools and an opportunity to process at their convenience.

Currently we're looking for support to cover the cost of materials.
